Technical course: Fundamentals of calibration for dimensional metrology with CT (2 days): This course will begin with the basic measurement infrastructure needed for all good metrologists. Themes covered will include: SI units and their realization; formal metrology infrastructure; basic measurement good practice; common terms and definitions; common error sources; and uncertainty principles. The next part will introduce methods and techniques to calibrate CT measurements. The course will proceed with the basics of calibration for conventional CMMs and lead on to how draft standard techniques can be applied to CT systems. Calibration and performance verification will be covered along with common error sources. The last part of the course will be practical and the participants will carry out a standards calibration/performance verification routine

Complementary skills: COLLABORATION skills – Meeting skills and project management (1 day): This course is result oriented (agenda and appointments, ‘rules of the game’ for a good meeting) as relation oriented (roles and responsibilities, communication and empathy).
